Have you ever heard this expression?
This is defined in Merriam-Webster's as when something bad happens other bad things usually happen at the same time.
Well over the past 12 to 13 months, my life has unfolded in a manner close to this expression. My family and I have experienced everything from job loss to a car accident, even possessions taken away and much more. All throughout this time, I was devastated and my emotions were all over the place. But through a dream, I was reminded to pray and seek God in the midst of the storm we were going through.
So since that day I have been praying constantly and asking for God to guide my family through the storm so we may come through on the other side. Since that dream, I have seen God restore unto us a job, some of the possessions that were taken, watched Him provide protection in the car accident, and so much more.
Even though the storm is not fully over, God has proven Deuteronomy 31:8 KJV to me which says "And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed." This series of unfortunate events has brought me closer to God and even though it still causes me to break down and cry, I have come to realize that there is no one like God!
If you are going through a storm of your own, I pray you reflect on 1 Peter 5:7 KJV which says "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." God is still working things out through my storm and I know He can do the same for you!
