Yes, we are at war! But the type of war I speak of comes in the form of some of the trials, tribulations, and even distractions we face in our lives. You may even wonder
Who or What are we fighting?
The Bible describes just who and what we are at war against in Ephesians 6:12 KJV "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
So how do we prepare for a spiritual war?
We are told in Ephesians 6:11 KJV to "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Just like the song "War" by Charles Jenkins and Fellowship Chicago says
I got joy in my soul
God is in control
I got satan on my trail
But I'm singing all is well
He's attacking every day
But I'm watching while I pray
No matter the attack
I won't turn back
This means war!
So rather than allow the trials and tribulations to consume us with worry, doubt, depression or sadness, let us put on the whole armor of God (found in Ephesians 6:14-18) so we may be fully dressed and prepared for battle.
