Recently, my daughter has reminded me of this. It is like she can tell when I am overwhelmed with all that is going on in my life and I am trying hard to figure out how to fix the problem(s). I am truly grateful for her sweet and precious reminders that we serve a God, who can make what seems impossible to us possible.
Not only am I reminded of the many examples of God providing in the Bible but the examples of providing that He has done in my life as well. God demonstrates this in 1 Kings 17 where He provides food, shelter, and water for the prophet Elijah. Another well-known example of God providing is found in Exodus 16 and 17 when food and water were provided for the Israelites while in the wilderness. Growing up I had heard about these accounts in Sunday school but didn't experience a true understanding of God being able to provide until I got older.
I will never forget one year around Christmas time when my family was without money for a whole year with a new baby, new house, and no income. But God made a way out of what seemed no way! That whole year God kept a roof over our heads, food on our table, and the lights on! When I tell you it was nothing, but God!!! That experience truly caused an increase in my faith and made God even more real to me.
You may be reading this and struggling to see how those examples in the Bible can help you or your situation. Well, I am proof that God will come through. My prayer is that whatever your circumstance or situation just remember, Philippians 4:6 KJV which says "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God" because He provides!
