While wondering what the title of this particular blog would be, I found myself chuckling because the question that came to mind was "Can composure be found?" See, I am not quite sure if composure is something that we sometimes lose in the first place or something that we just forget to tap into from time to time. Either way, keeping our composure in the midst of a pressurized environment is not always the easiest thing to do, but I am learning it doesn't have to be that way!
This has been an interesting season, where I needed to pull back for some time. Now, I did this because I did not want to speak from my vantage point of pain and frustration without being able to share solutions. Also, there were some projects God needed me to work on which really required me to stretch in how I do and see things. Also to share with you some amazing updates on those projects I mentioned. First, I took an Evangelism class with my church to get equipped to share God with others and just recently graduated from that May 20, 2018. Second, I wrote and completed my book, From Faith 2 Faith: A 45 Days Devotional! It will be available for sale on June 7, 2018!!! I also wanted to acknowledge that I am so grateful for each and every one of you who visited this website during that time as well! You are awesome!!!
So lastly, I just want to take a quick moment to share 3 things I have learned on my journey toward recovery...
Like many who grew up in the church, I have always prayed the model prayer found in Matthew 6:9-13. I would mainly use it when I was not quite sure what to say or even what to ask of God. So when it came time to go through a recent season of pruning and purifying, I quickly realized how ill-prepared I was to fight against the spiritual attacks that started coming my way. So I asked God to reveal to me a prayer strategy, or if He could teach me something, I could use to block or defend myself from the adversary. I mean I felt like a boxer who was just taking blow after blow to the body, head, and chest.
