Have you ever thought about the specific times when you run to God?
Is it when things are good?
Is it when things are bad?
When we pray, most of the time, we are asking God for something and we expect Him to be intentional in answering. But many times, we fail to do the same when Him when he calls. That is why John 10:27 KJV reminds us "my sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:" But how can we know Him if we are disconnected.
In order to personally improve this area of my life, I began practicing ways to hear his voice more clearly. So yesterday, I decided to include God in each moment of my day by asking for his advice. I asked Him about everything from what to cook for my family to how to even go about my day? What was so wonderful was, to each question, He gently guided me in the way that I should proceed!
Growing up, I never knew that I could have this type of relationship with God. I did not realize that I could be more intentional until I came across a Youtube video which spoke about this concept. Yesterday proved to me that by including God in all of my daily decisions, I can better keep my mind "stayed on Jesus" as the older generation in my church used to sing. So I encourage you to diligently include God in every moment of your day in order to stay connected!
